I had remarkably similar experience. I bought 12 for over 2 vanities in the bathroom.

LESS than a year later, 6 of them have failed.

Pure crap.

I have the same experience as bmiko with these bulbs. Bought 6 of them about a year ago, 4 failed within 6 months, the other 2 failed within 14 months. All of them have been replaced at no cost to me by the manufacturer, Feit Electric - http://www.feit.com/feitcontact.html

The original bulbs from Lowes had black printing on the base, model LBP12GTM2/35K . The new ones had green printing on the base, same model number. I am hoping I got bulbs from a bad lot, but based on what I am reading on the net, it must have been a big lot! We'll see how long they last, but I would hesitate to buy more of their bulbs.

I bought 6 of these--at $9.00 a piece--and every one has failed in under 2 years. I returned them all to Lowes for a full refund and to ensure that the mercury content went back to the manufacturer. I consider the purchase of the 6 to be a $54 waste(plus the extra time I spent changing them and the extra gas I spent returning the failed bulbs.) I replaced them with 25 watt incandecent bulbs. Much more natural light, no mercury and I am finally saving money...
