Bright Effects 23 Watt CFL Review

Today’s install is a Bright Effects 100 Watt equivalent CFL. This is about the size of regular incandescent bulb, and the color is marked as soft white, and 2700K.  The bulb is bright from the start, unlike some that take several minutes to brighten.

The color is good. So far, I am recommending this bulb. I’ll follow up after it’s been in use for a while.

One Month Later … Kaput! Dead!
Some notes on it’s use:  Installed base up in a ceiling fixture with plenty of room around it, and not covered. On all the time, for 1 month. If I get a chance, I’ll cut it open and look around.

Another One … 2 months Kaput!
Installed in a ceiling can, and running all the time.

My experience is that they pop out like popcorn. This is beginning to look like a scam to me.
